India carrying out 'pinpoint strikes' on terror launch pads inside PoK: Govt Sources.
Times Now's Pradeep Dutta reported that in the last few days Pakistan has been very aggressive along the Line of Control and resorted to unprovoked firing in many areas. The Pakistani forces were trying to escalate the situation by targetting civilian areas along the border.
The pre-emptive strikes were carried out on a day when four Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists were killed and two policemen injured in a gunbattle in Jammu's Nagrota area. The gunfight started when the terrorists were intercepted by the police at a toll plaza near Nagrota when they were travelling in a truck on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
It is a well-known fact that Pakistan-backed Jammat-ud-Dawa, JeM and other terrorist outfits are active in PoK where terrorists are trained for carrying out attacks in India.
Notably, ever since the Narendra Modi government revoked Article 370 and bifurcated Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories Pakistani hostilities have increased. 4,052 incidents of ceasefire violation incidents from the Pakistani side have been reported so far.
